Abstract
The Anti-Prodigal is a series of paintings that retells the parable of the prodigal son from the perspective of the other sibling, and puts it into the context of the artist’s personal experience of having a brother in prison. This project is meant to humanize the anti-prodigal and is meant to undo the villainization of the other brother. The medium of this project was oil paint.
